Bioreactor Gas Control
Bioreactors are designed to provide a controlled environment for the growth of microorganisms.
Ranging in size from small bench top vessels to large industrial size installations, in all cases the gas environment needs to be carefully monitored and controlled.
In a typical application Air, Co2, O2, and N2 are fed into the bioreactor to provide the optimum growth conditions.
The ratio of the various gases needs to be controlled to give the desired result.
During the growth phase, cells can grow at an exponential rate and gas requirements can increase in line with biomass.
Flowcon has extensive experience in designing the gas monitoring & control requirements for bioreactors in research and industrial applications.
Solutions are available for all process requirements.
